"Man in eSPACE.mov" (2004-2007) is a performance mixing dance, real-time video capture, 3D computing and multiscreening.
Produced in 2004 by LAB[au] (Brussels, B) and Res Publica (Paris, F), "Man in eSAPCE.mov" was performed by dancers Marianne Descamps and Claudia Miazzo, and sound-designed by Marc Wathieu.
The show explores the relations between the man and the electronic space in an ambitious visual and amazing computer-based visual environment, a contemporary approach as well as a tribute to early motion capture, chronophotographers Etienne-Jules Marey and Eadweard Muybridge, Bauhaus artist Oskar Schlemmer, and motion picture pioneer Oskar Fischinger.
This four-tracks EP is an attempt to transpose some of the sonic ambiances initially performed live.
